CFAO Motors (Zambia) Ltd formerly Toyota Zambia Ltd. is the official distributor for Toyota vehicles and Toyota genuine parts. We also provide quality aftersales service across Zambia, with branches in Lusaka, Kitwe, Livingstone and Solwezi.
Further we have appointed independent Zambian companies as Authorized Service Centers in Mkushi, Kabwe, Kasama and Chipata. A Team Toyota garage was also appointed in Makeni Lusaka.
This has enabled the company to open other lines of business such as LOXEA and many more that are yet to come. However, Toyota remains as our premium brand as Zambia Drives Toyota.
OUR HISTORY
- 1963:3rd December. The company was incorporated as Mobile Motors N.R, a member of the Lonrho Group.
- 1965:21st The company name was changed to Mobile Motors Zambia Limited to align itself to the birth of the new nation.
- 1994:21st Mobile Motors Zambia Limited changed its name to Toyota Zambia Limited.
- 1997:(July) Lonrho Group entered a joint venture with Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), a trading division of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in which TTC acquired 50% shares in Toyota Zambia Ltd.
- 2001:TTC acquired 100% shareholding of Toyota Zambia Ltd. With this acquisition, massive capital injections have come through that has seen major rehabilitation works completed.
- 2010:Opening of an After Sales facility Livingstone.
- 2011:Rehabilitation of Copperbelt branch in Kitwe.
- 2013:Opening of Nangwenya Toyota branch.
- 2017:Opening of Solwezi Toyota branch.
- 2020: Started trading in Automark Pre Owned Vehicles.
- 2022: 11th July 2022 Toyota Zambia Limited is renamed to CFAO Motors (Zambia) Limited
