Current Toyota Volunteered Recall Campaigns

Production Year: From January 2005 to August 2016

Component Affected: Driver and front passenger Takata airbag inflator

Full Detailed description: Certain airbag inflators fitted on some models have been found to have a potential of moisture intrusion over time. Depending on the conditions, this could create extreme internal pressure when the airbag is deployed and cause the inflator to rupture. In the event of an inflator rupture caused by traffic accident, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, possibly injuring the driver and front passenger. To date, no injuries caused by this condition have been reported locally.
