Chipolopolo’s’ New Coach – Mr. Avram Grant

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) have officially presented Israeli coach Avram Grant as the new head coach for the Chipolopolo.

Speaking at the press briefing, Mr. Kamanga the FAZ president stated that the former Chelsea and Ghana coach comes with experience and has penned a two-year deal with an option to extend subject to performance. Mr. Kamanga further stated that he has all the confidence that Avram Grant will take the Chipolopolo to greater heights. While at the press briefing, Mr. Grant said he received many offers but chose Zambia because he sees potential in the talents that Zambia has at its disposal. When asked about the pressure he is about to face from the public at large, “I love the pressure, it’s what makes the game beautiful,” he said. “I will be almost clocking 50 years in my coaching career, and I understand what it means to play under pressure. There has always been pressure everywhere I have coached. Yes, I received other offers, but I was looking for the right challenge, and I chose Zambia because I have seen so much potential, and I thank the Football Association of Zambia for choosing me.” I came here because of the challenge, and I look forward to making history”, he said.

Zambia has missed out on qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations three times in a row; the last time they took part, in 2015, they were eliminated at the group stage.

Congratulations to Avram Grant for the new role of Zambian National Team Coach, we wish him success in his new role.

Beyond Zero- “Achieving zero, and adding new value beyond it”

The need to promote clean energy in Zambia has always been evident owing to the increased effects of climate change on weather patterns and rising cost of petroleum. This presents an opportunity for mobility powered by renewable energy, including electric vehicles. The government of Zambia has already zero-rated excise duty for electric vehicles and halved their customs duty.

It is with this regard that we are happy to share that as part of Toyota’s efforts to pass our beautiful “Home Planet” to the next generation, Toyota has identified and is helping to solve issues faced by individuals and overall society, which it calls “Achieving Zero,”

Don’t Drink And Drive

It is a well-known fact that the festive season is the booziest time of the year because not only do people want to relax and commemorate Christmas but also look forward to the new year.

Notably, there are no exceptions to the rule: If you have been drinking, do not drive. The effects of alcohol on your driving can include:

1. False sense of confidence
2. Increased tendency to take risks.
3. Reduced co-ordination and concentration.
4. Slower reaction times.
5. Impaired vision
6. Impaired perception of obstacles
7. Poor Judgment

These side effects put the driver, potential passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians at risk. Therefore, Cfao Motors (Zambia) Limited would like to remind customers to enjoy this festive season by responsively ensuring not to mix alcohol and driving.

Happy Festive Season, and wishing you safe rides.
